Singer Chris Brown has slammed police, appearing to call them idiots, after he was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon by the LAPD on Tuesday.
He was booked at a police station in Los Angeles apparently after a tense 11-hour stand-off with officers at his $4.3million mansion, where the alleged incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
According to TMZ, law enforcement sources said Chris gave a blood sample on Tuesday after arriving at the jail.
It was previously reported by the website that police recovered two guns and drugs from a duffel bag thrown from the mansion during the stand-off, something the authorities have yet to confirm.
After being released on a $250,000 bail, Chris' lawyer Mark Geragos took to Twitter to protest his innocence.
Confirming he was out of jail, he wrote: "Thanks to everyone for their support and well wishes. Chris is out and well. The allegations against him are demonstrably false."
He is now expected to appear in court on September 20, the records show.
Officers surrounded the singer's home on Tuesday following a pre-dawn 911 call from a woman - later named as beauty queen Baylee Curran - who claimed he had pointed a gun at her.
Brown, 27, denies any wrongdoing and said on Instagram posts that he had woken up to find police outside and that they would need a warrant to enter the Tarzana property.
Lieutenant Ramirez said earlier: "This morning, around three o'clock, officers responded to a radio call for a woman requiring assistance.
"The incident involved the residence of Mr Chris Brown, where officers responded and met with that person."
Police spent hours waiting outside Brown's home before obtaining a search warrant and beginning a search of the sprawling premises in the early afternoon.
In an unrelated incident, Curran is wanted in New York for questioning for grand larceny over allegations she stole a Michael Kors wallet from a friend in 2013.
According to NYPD records, she and another woman were accused of taking a $1,000 Louis Vuitton purse from a third friend.
The Miss California Regional Pageant Organization also sent a statement to ABC News, making "clear Miss Curran is not a reigning title holder."
"Miss Curran has been dethroned as of July this year due to a breach of contract. Baylee Curran has been asked numerous times to return her crown/sash which she has refused to do," the organisation said.
"We do not condone the alleged actions of Mr. Brown or his associates, however, Miss Curran has incorrectly identified herself as Miss California Regional."
The pageant cited behaviour "not befitting a queen," as to why she was dethroned.
